Blues That Soothe originally featured on the label’s first LP Nyte Manoeuvres, it’s instantly recognisable fusion of deep-set Rhodes against shimmery, sunshine packed steel drums work in perfect harmony with the low, proddy bassline and subtle yet tappy percussive vibe; think a 5 care-free minute skip along a sun-soaked coastline and you’re halfway there.
Picked up and played through the summer of that year, Soulfuledge always felt like something was missing from the track… a Morecambe without it’s Wise if you would, musically it ticked all the boxes yet something prominent was missing, it didn’t take a professor submerged head deep in degrees & diplomas to work out what that was.
So fast forward to 2026 and enter stage left The Nyte Moods Band as their hypnotically smooth vocals add that final piece to the jigsaw… completely opening up the vibe and turning the track into something so much more, Blues That Soothe is now the song it was always intended to be… it just took a little while longer to get there!
Soulfuledge has been entwined in dance music over the past two decades working professionally at one of the World’s leading independence dance distribution companies by day and as a highly sought-after DJ/producer by night.
Earning his stripes in the early 00s at the now seminal (and much missed!) Angel Deelite in Manchester allowed him to play to a very discerning crowd and rub shoulders with some of House music’s biggest and most respected artists; a dance music education which provided the perfect foundation for later years bringing his unmistakeable soulful sound to bustling dancefloors around the World, representing iconic brands & holding down a variety of high-profile Worldwide residencies.
His first release came out by accident back in 2012 via DJ Spen’s Quantize Recordings label after he’d been working on a remix of Luthor Vandross ‘Never Too Much’, Spen told him he was working on a new cover version of the same track alongside Tracy Hamlin, so the 2 got talking and the remix ended up being reworked using Tracy’s vocals - the track came out & the rest is history!
After working with Spen on a multitude of high-profile remixes, Soulfuledge launched his own Nyte Music and Soulfuledge Recordings labels as a means to showcase his own array of music alongside artists from across the globe.
